Penrose Repurposed - Sustainable Art Experiences!

Join Lady Mohawk and step into a world of sustainability, creativity, and community at Penrose Repurposed! in Tarneit! This exciting initiative brings together the power of art and environmental consciousness with hands-on workshops designed to inspire and connect.Join us at Penrose Place - Sustainable Art Experiences, a place activation event that invites all ages to explore eco-friendly art forms and engage in community-driven creativity. Choose one of four immersive workshops, participants will create sustainable art while learning valuable skills and techniques.What to Expect:

• Innovative Art Forms: Explore sustainable practices in art, from painting to weaving.
• Eco-Friendly Workshops: Get hands-on and create art using repurposed materials to help beautify Penrose place and leave your own individual artwork at Penrose Place for everyone to admire.
• Community Engagement: Build connections and express creativity in a multigenerational space.
• Free event for the whole community!

Workshop Details:

• Sustainable Painting (3 workshops) - we will be using excess acrylic paint, donated by Dulux, to paint large recycled PVC banners, to then decorate the fence around Penrose Place with, Come get creative and leave your mark!
• Traditional Weaving (1 workshop) - come and learn to weave, whilst also making beautiful weaving in the fence around Penrose Place, using natural materials.
