You don’t need to be a sustainability professional. If you’re curious about what’s happening locally and believe a better future is possible, come along to meet others who feel the same.

Share ideas, discover local opportunities, find out how to get involved, swap solutions, vent a little, or simply sit back and listen. Come for the conversation and leave with new connections, practical ways to take action and a little more optimism about the future.

Meet Your Hosts

Amy Lomax

Amy Lomax is a Senior Climate, Sustainability and Resilience Leader with more than 20 years’ experience working across government, higher education, and with clients and communities in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. Her work focuses on helping organisations understand risk, strengthen resilience, and turn sustainability ambitions into practical, real-world outcomes. Amy brings deep expertise across climate risk and adaptation, ESG readiness, integrated water management, environmental management, organisational capability building and co-design.

Amy is passionate about connecting people and ideas. She volunteers her time to foster community conversations around sustainability, creating welcoming spaces where anyone can engage with climate and environmental challenges.

Patricia Lee

Patricia is a sustainability strategist whose work is grounded in a strong commitment to people, place and the natural world. Over a 15-year career across North America and Australia, her experience spans sustainability, strategy, communications, education, government, NGOs, international business and higher education. She has worked across sectors and with diverse stakeholders to turn sustainability ambition into practical action and long-term change.

Patricia has a multidisciplinary background with postgraduate qualifications in environmental science, a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, and studies in sustainable practice and international business. Her work is focused on connecting people, knowledge and organisations to create more resilient futures and better outcomes for people and planet.

Citizen COP Australia is a decentralised, people-powered movement running alongside the global COPs in 2026. Enabled by People For Nature, but intentionally independent and distributed, Citizen COP invites communities, organisations, schools, businesses, artists, and local groups across Australia to host their own events during the COP period. Rather than a single central event, Citizen COP is a nationwide network of conversations, workshops, and actions that bring global climate and nature discussions into local communities.
