Course Overview

In today’s ever-evolving workplace, getting it right when it comes to performance management right has never been more crucial. The area is often fraught with the risk of employee claims or complaints, particularly if mishandled. Recent changes to the Fair Work Act, such as the right to disconnect and the enhanced rights of workplace delegates to represent some employees in disciplinary processes, have also introduced new challenges in managing performance. So now is the ideal time to upskill and future-proof your performance management strategies and knowledge.

Low employee morale, interpersonal issues, high staff turnover and wasted resources are just some of the negative consequences of poor performance management, not to mention the associated compliance risks and hefty legal costs. The effects of poor performance management can have a long-lasting impact on the wider business and if not dealt with correctly could severely damage your organisation and may also land you in the Fair Work Commission dealing with unfair dismissals.

But it doesn’t have to be this way! When done well performance management directly impacts the success of your organisation by ensuring staff are held accountable whilst also being supported to perform at the highest standard.
