Performance | Olivia Adams: Still Standing

Reflecting on the themes of placemaking in Rainbow Serpent (Version), Olivia Adams (Wulli Wulli) responds to imposing and grotesque imagery used by the colony. In this performance, Adams considers the colonial architecture of Meanjin/Brisbane, using contemporary movement to reclaim the city space.

Artist Biography

Olivia Adams is a Wulli Wulli dancer, choreographer, and producer. She has worked as a producer for BlakDance and performed with Digi Youth Arts, Polytoxic, Bangarra Dance Theatre’s youth program Rekindling, as a part of Richard Bell’s Tent Embassy (2013–ongoing) at documenta fifteen, Kassel, Germany (2022), and Karul Project’s SILENCE (2022).
