Performance Workshop: The Psychological Gesture Technique of Michael Chekhov
Event description
Dacha Theatre presents a workshop on the Psychological Gesture technique by Michael Chekhov.
The course will be taught by professional choreographer and movement director, Anna Karpukhina.
Course description
If you’re an actor, you probably know this feeling:
You’re reading the text — it seems clear, but inside? Nothing.
You want to feel something, to connect with the character, to grab onto something — but what?
This course is about finding that hook.
I’ll give you a clear, step-by-step method for working on a role using your body, movement, and the Psychological Gesture technique by Michael Chekhov.
You’ll learn how to work on a monologue or scene independently and get tools that support you in any situation — from auditions to rehearsals.
For a detailed description of the program please check out the course website.
