Luke Jackson

Nicknamed “Action,” is a professional Australian boxer who secured a bronze medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne and served as the team captain for Australia at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi. In 2012, he captained the Australian boxing team at the London Olympics, competing in the lightweight division.  He has held titles including the WBA Oceania, WBO Oriental, and Australian Featherweight championships.

Beyond boxing, Jackson has been open about his struggles with mental health and his journey to overcome personal challenges. Jackson remains an influential figure in Australian boxing, known for his resilience and contributions to the sport.

Jason Cram - Commonwealth and World Championship Games gold medallist swimmer

    Jason Cram

What happens when you’re competing behind two of the greatest swimmers of all time? Jason Cram lived in the shadow of legends like Ian Thorpe and Grant Hackett, leaving the sport feeling like he’d never truly achieved anything, even as a Commonwealth Games and World Championships Gold Medalist. But that was just the beginning. After drifting into retirement with no clear direction, Jason’s journey took him from setting up surf life-saving events to managing tours on Disney Cruises and even working on James Packer’s yacht (yes, he’s the “Mariah Carey jetski guy”- google it). Along the way, Jason discovered that life has chapters—and swimming was just one of them.

Now, as the founder of Swimly, Jason helps others redefine their relationship with the water, specialising in overcoming fear, stroke correction, and building confidence. His story is proof that there’s so much life—and purpose—beyond the pool. Find Swimly at www.swimly.com.au and @goswimly.

    Some helpful event details:

    🎒 What to bring
    Just yourself!

    👔 What to wear
    Business casual. You do you

    🌟 A little more...
From the people you meet to the nibbles you nibble, at BIO we’re big into the little details. We are fanatical about all the facets that come together to make a brilliant meet up, because if you feel at home - you’re more likely to be yourself.

    🤔 What does this mean?

    - Be yourself, you’re you - not your Company
    - Keep the chat interesting
    - We don’t use name tags, because, well… just ask!

We can't wait to see you there.

    A little more about BIO:

Here at BIO, we do networking a little differently.

You don't have to own your own business (but it’s cool if you do) or be an entrepreneur, you just need to be open to meeting new people, listening to their tales, connecting differently and sharing ideas.

We’re not leeches… so our members are not about sucking the business (or life) out of you. We work together to help our members solve problems, build their businesses, further their careers or develop themselves. We give people a platform to tell their story and make valuable connections.

We hold monthly events for our members, and if you would like to come along - meet new people and give us a whirl then come along and join us to see what all the fuss is about.

Talking’s great, but sometimes so is listening.

To make sure each BIO event is interesting, we introduce you to our host for the night. This person will take us on a journey throughout the meet-up and talk briefly on a trending subject that sparks interest. From wine-makers to corporate giants we’ve cherry picked topics that are relevant to all businesses - from retaining your talent to the ever looming robots and AI tech, there’s a little something for everyone.
