I’m Unna, the founder of UNNA Movement & principal Exercise Physiologist & Coach.

I work with bodies and the minds that sabotage them. Health success doesn’t always look like lots of exercise. For me it more often shows successes when we’ve figured out what matters, that which allows us to care about our health and commit when things are less than ideal.

My path to here has lots of brilliant learnings and unlearning. Academically, an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science followed by a Masters in Rehabilitation set me up for accreditation as an exercise physiologist. Both these degrees had elements of human behaviour & health psychology - the good stuff!

While at university, I immersed myself in the industry to observe & be around the aspiration of those in their peak. This included early years as a porter & physiotherapy assistant at a major leading rehabilitation hospital. Once qualified my trajectory was a combination of clinical practice, within another one of Melbournes major rehabilitative centres, clinical researcher positions & training across various hospital departments. In the background of all this there was a gap I wanted to fill in the leap from hospital discharge to return to community, so I starting my own rehabilitation & clinical pilates practice.

Fast forward 20 + years now I’ve sold one business & opening another, which is where you find yourself Unna Movement, my home for following my specialist passions.
