    Event description

We're thrilled to invite Emma Wisbey, Naturopath, to speak at the clinic in November alongside our very own, Allison Smith.

Menopause marks a significant transition in a woman's life, but unlike puberty, we aren't necessarily prepared for the changes, both physical and emotional, that these changing hormones can bring.

Join us to understand more about what this open-ended, no fixed aged, body transition may mean for you.

    About Emma:

With over 25 years experience in both private practice and practitioner education, Emma brings significant insight into what it means for women who are entering the perimenopausal years. Emma works with women and families in the areas of stress, mental health and wellbeing, infertility, thyroid and food intolerances to name a few.

    Emma will be covering:

    • The intricate relationship between various hormones
    • How these hormones change in the perimenopausal years
    • How these hormonal changes affect how you feel and what symptoms you experience
    • How to assess these changes to determine the best treatment strategy for your individual needs
    • How naturopathic treatment strategies and lifestyle medicine can be used for optimising health during this time of transition

    About Allison:

Allison has always had a strong interest in women's health, further deepened by motherhood. Allison is one of only two osteopath in the Geelong and Surfcoast region trained in internal pelvic floor assessment and treatment, Allison hears first hand from women their experiences of hormonal fluctuations, pain and changes they didn't expect in both their physical and emotional well-being.

As a highly skilled practitioner supporting women through pregnancy and childbirth, the next wave of hormonal change with perimenopause has been a natural evolution.

    • What should I be doing to support my body heading into menopause?
    • How does treatment work for peri-menopause?
    • It seems like everything hurts more now?

Enjoy an evening cuppa, bring a friend and bring your QUESTIONS! Emma and Allison have you covered.
