Perinatal Mental Health Week Forum Presented By Neami National's Suicide Prevention Coordinators
Event description
This Perinatal Mental Health Week, the Suicide Prevention Coordinators (SPC) Team in partnership with the Town of Victoria Park brings together leading providers who support parents with their mental health.
We know that as many as 1 in 5 expecting or new mums experience perinatal anxiety or depression, and 1 in 10 expecting or new dads do too. It’s important to be aware of the services that exist to support parents during these crucial times.
With presentations from ForWhen, Pregnancy to Parenthood, Gidget Foundation, The Singing Mamas and The Fathering Project we hope you leave this forum with a deeper understanding of how to support parents during the perinatal period.
Presentations will run from 9:00am to 11:00am, followed by an hour of networking and morning tea.
