Periods, cycles & your body
Event information
Periods and puberty can come with a lot of questions — and sometimes it can be hard to know what’s normal, what isn’t, or where to find information you can trust.
Periods, Cycles & Your Body is a relaxed, practical and inclusive workshop designed specifically for teens to build confidence in understanding their bodies and menstrual cycles.
Together, we'll explore:
what actually happens during the menstrual cycle
periods and the different phases of the cycle
hormones and the role they play
body changes during puberty
what's considered normal — and what might be worth getting support for
common menstrual cycle symptoms
how to start tracking your cycle and recognising your own patterns
where to find trusted information and support
This isn't about teaching that everyone experiences their menstrual cycle in the same way. It's about giving young people the knowledge and tools to understand their own body, recognise their individual patterns and feel more confident asking questions and advocating for themselves.
There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions in a supportive, age-appropriate and judgement-free environment. No prior knowledge is needed.
Who is it for?
Young people aged 10–17 who menstruate, are approaching menstruation, or simply want to better understand periods, menstrual cycles and their bodies.
Parents and carers: This is a teen-focused workshop designed to create a comfortable space for young people to learn and ask questions. Further information regarding attendance, consent and supervision will be provided when booking.
