Join me for some Permaculture Preserving and Producing!! 

The preserves won't be decided upon until the night before - depending on what is abundant and in need of saving, so it'll be a bit of Pot Luck. Join me for several sessions if you like to see a wide variety. However, I will run you through 3-4 of the following methods: pressure canning, fermenting, water bathing, hot pack, and dehydrating. If you are particularly interested in a certain method please let me know and I can try to work that into the day.

Places each day are limited. This is my home kitchen so to make the experience rich and rewarding for all I don't want to overfill it. The cost of the day is $50 payable before your place is confirmed. This is considerably lower in price than similar sessions offered elsewhere. The real payment for the day comes in the form of your help! This is the best way to learn. You'll be asked to wash, chop, sterilise, stir, and bottle! Cancellations won't be refunded as it's very difficult for me to fill places once the buzz of freshly released dates has settled down. 

Please bring comfortable closed shoes and some lunch. Tea and coffee will be provided (Raw milk only). It's also a good idea to bring a notepad and pen however I ask that personal items are kept off the bench for hygiene reasons. 

Please note that you'll receive no formal qualifications. Ultimately you will be responsible for what happens in your own kitchen moving forward. I will explain safe food handling and preserving methods, however.
