Permission of Play - Adults only Workshop (Arts in the Alley Fest)
Event description
Ever wondered what painting based on a game feels like? Well, the POP workshop is the place to try it out. Make marks that don't have to be 'perfect/correct', show your inner creative language, relish in the permission to be a kid for an evening, meet new people, and share the process of making an abstract artwork to see how truly different we all are.
Think 'paint & sip', cross 'Yahtzee', and add in some 'musical chairs' to make a piece for charity, determined by the roll of a dice.
***10 spots only - $55pp book your ticket NOW so we can prepare your materials. TICKET MUST BE PRE-PURCHASED to attend this workshop.
Using the element of 'chance' your pieces will be created based on set elements matching the numbers on the dice...whoever rolls, has the power!
Imagine this: your friend holds the oversized giant dice in their hands, giggling away from the wine consumed in the alleyway, they shake...we all hold our breath...rolls... and it's a double 1!
Everyone calls out 'SNAKE EYES!' The room erupts in movement and laughter as we all try to find a new seat in time for the music to stop. And you're sat in front of another person's canvas...ready for the dice to roll again... will you be able to let go of ego & share the permission of playing?
