Permission to Write — A One‑Day Mini Retreat for Your Creative Unfolding

If you’ve been circling around a writing project, starting, stopping, doubting, or dreaming this retreat invites you to finally exhale and step into a space where your creative voice is taken seriously.

Permission to Write is a one‑day immersive experience designed to help you understand what’s really getting in the way of your writing. Not the surface excuses, but the deeper stories, myths, and inherited messages that quietly shape your creative life.

What We Explore

The myths of creativity that keep you stuck
Your personal ‘why’ - the deeper reasons you feel called to write and the role writing plays in your life.
The internal messages you’ve absorbed about what it means to be a writer:
- Only gifted people get to call themselves writers.
- Writing is indulgent, unrealistic, or not for people like me.
- It’s selfish to spend time on this.
- I'm a not good enough beginner
Your values - the strengths, principles, and inner resources you can draw on to support your writing practice.

What To Bring

A notebook and pen
Laptop (charged)
A packed lunch

What You’ll Leave With

A clearer understanding of what’s been holding you back
A renewed sense of creative permission
Practical next steps to get momentum on your writing project
A deeper connection to your identity as a writer
New connections with people who understand the creative path

Why This Retreat Matters

Writing isn’t just about producing words. It’s about claiming space for your voice, your ideas, and your inner world.

When you understand the beliefs shaping your creative behaviour, you can finally choose which ones to keep and which ones to release.

This retreat gives you the time, support, and reflective space to step into your writing life with more confidence, clarity, and compassion.

If you’re ready to move from hesitation to action, from self‑doubt to self‑permission, this day is for you. This is a place to remember why you wanted to write in the first place.
