Person centred De-escalation

Person Centred De Escalation techniques is a workshop that will provide an overview of the skills and understandings required to address client presentations that involve aggression or complexity.  It focuses on challenging the lens through which we interpret and understand difficult client behaviour to gain increased insight, understanding and self-awareness, providing an alternative client-centred way of responding.

Aims for this workshop:

• To develop a personalised safety plan and self-care plan
• To have an improved understanding of aggressive and complex client presentations and the strategies to engage effectively
• Strategies to manage one's own response to client aggression and complexity
• Strategies to de-escalate situations in a person centred way.
