Event description

Nail Brewing Coaster Art Exhibition

21 Perth Street Artists, Graffiti Writers, Fine Art & Emerging Artists have come together to do some very BIG things on some very SMALL canvases!

These miniature pieces of art are once-off originals, hand painted/drawn on the back of Nail Brewing coasters.

The task set: Each artist was given 10 coasters each to create artworks of their choice. No restriction of content. Free creative control.

Over 150 coasters will be on display, along with other artworks, prints and merchandise.

Your General Admission ticket includes:

  • Entry to the event
  • 1 x complimentary Nail Brewing beer
  • Live Art
  • Chance to win a limited edition A4 print by Ariel Katzir
  • Chance to win other door prizes from the legends at Nail Brewing
  • Donation to charity

This exhibition is unique in that it is a COMMISSION FREE event, meaning that all profits from art sold on the night will go directly to the artist.

For collectors, it is also a rare opportunity to view and purchase original miniature artworks, as well as graffiti art from 5 of the "100 Vandals", who are currently on exhibition at AGWA.

This event came about in the spirit of comradery and is a celebration of local art, local artists, community, creative freedom & a quirky way to showcase some awesome talent.

The back story as to how all this came about:

After my neighbour and I lost the monthly Quiz Night at our local pub (Henry on Eighth), the owner Steve, mockingly gave us a hand full of Nail Brewing coasters as a 'boobie prize'. I joked and said I would draw on them & give them back... Which I did. But looking at them lined up next to each other, thought they looked pretty cool. So Pitched the idea to Steve about doing an exhibition, asked some rad artists to join in on the fun and *boom* the Coaster Art Exhibition was born!
