Politics of the Possible
Description
You may have heard of Politics in the Pub - Perth Indie are calling ours Politics of the Possible (PoP)!
Join Perth Independent for the launch of The Politics of Possible - a new pub-based speaker series mixing the curiosity of Lectures on Tap with the conversation of Politics at the Pub.
Our first question: with the political will to do things differently, what’s possible when it comes to easing cost-of-living pressures?
Speakers will explore practical solutions, fresh thinking and ideas that deserve more attention from policies working elsewhere to possibilities we could pursue right here in Perth.
Governments face real constraints and trade-offs. But sometimes the solutions already exist. Is what's missing is the will to act.
Expect thought- provoking talks, a drink break and a Q&A, alongside people who care about Perth and want to help shape its future.
Come for a drink, bring your curiosity and leave with a little more hope and a way to get involved.
Arrive at 6pm to grab a drink and/or bite to eat.
Panel discussion will start at 6.30pm.
Our first speaker is
Louise Giolitto – CEO, WA Council of Social Services.
More speakers announced soon.
Submit a question when you register.
