Event description

** URGENT UPDATE 20 JANUARY 2022 **

It is with heavy hearts that the committee of Folsom Down Under has resolved to postpone the inaugural Folsom Down Under Festival from February until spring this year.

As a result, we are cancelling our headline dance party PERVERSION and our recovery party DEVIANTS in February 2022. Ticket holders will be refunded in the coming days and you will receive a separate email from the ticketing agent when the refund process has been initiated.

We will let you know once our Folsom Down Under 2022 spring festival dates have been confirmed and when the spring editions of PERVERSION and DEVIANTS go on sale.

We understand that this decision will cause much disappointment, and for some participants inconvenience, however the deteriorating situation in the Victorian health system which this week resulted in the activation of a 'Code Brown’ alert, and the relentless and unsustainable pressure that our health care people are under, have been the substantive factors for the committee in deciding to postpone the festival. Health and wellbeing are a key focus for Folsom Down Under and it’s incredibly important to us that, where possible, the decisions we make do not contribute to your health or health system stress worsening.

There are a number of contributors who were planning to present events over the 10 days of the February 2022 festival who have also made the difficult decision to withdraw, based on the current health system crisis or related health advice. There are also a small number of events that are likely to go ahead where the contributor believes there will be (at least at this point) a negligible impact on the health system. There are a further group of events that remain scheduled to go ahead, however only if the health system situation improves.

If you would like to stay up to date with events that remain scheduled to take place in February and were to be a part of the festival, and/or more generally with what’s happening with Folsom Down Under, the best way to do this is by adding your details to our mailing list here.
