Navigating Life's Challenges with Resilience with Professor James Pawelski from the University of Pennsylvania's Positive Psychology Centre

Senior School Chapel, 6pm-7pm

For educators and school leaders working at the coalface of wellbeing education, this is a rare chance to learn directly from one of the field's most influential voices.

Professor James Pawelski, Director of Education and Senior Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania's Positive Psychology Center, brings nearly three decades of research to a question every school community grapples with: how do we help people not just survive adversity, but genuinely grow through it?

In this keynote, Professor Pawelski introduces the emerging field of positive humanities, showing how the arts, literature and culture can build resilience and deepen wellbeing, even in life's hardest seasons. Expect practical, research-informed strategies you can carry straight back into your school, your leadership and your own life.

As founding Executive Director of the International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA) and long-time leader of Penn's Master of Applied Positive Psychology programme, Professor Pawelski has spent his career mentoring the people shaping the future of wellbeing science and practice. This is an opportunity to learn from him in person.
