About the workshop:
A fun, lighthearted session for animal lovers! Learn to draw your pet (or a favourite animal) using expressive linework, stylised features, and pop-art inspired colour. Bring a photo reference and leave with a bold, personal portrait that captures their spirit.
About the facilitator:
Natalia Bennett is a Tasmanian-based visual artist and illustrator whose work blends bold colour, natural forms, and symbolic storytelling. With a background in fine art, design, and illustration, her practice spans murals, exhibitions, and community workshops across the state. Natalia’s work often centres on stillness, connection to place, and the stories of endangered species — combining expressive linework with educational and emotional depth. She’s passionate about creating safe, supportive creative spaces for young people to explore identity, emotion, and imagination.
About Louie:
Louie is Natalia's service dog. He will be helping Natalia out on the day, Louie is very gentle and friendly. If you have any questions email info@kickstart.org.au.
