Staying Alive LLC was begun by Deanna Young as a better way to provide quality, professional CPR and First Aid instruction and certification in the Phoenix valley*. Ms. Young began teaching in CPR and First Aid in 2008 and saw a great need for honesty, integrity and professionalism of instructors and their training centers. She believes that everyone should have the opportunity to learn the lifesaving skills of CPR and First Aid at reasonable rates. And, in 2012, Staying Alive LLC was born with the idea that with proper instruction, anyone can be a guardian angel.
Deanna Young grew up in Illinois where she learned to teach and guide groups as a camp counselor and weekend group director at a private dude ranch. After moving to Arizona in 1988, Deanna began learning business management and employee development and was thrust into real life medical training when she found herself dealing with severe allergies, asthma, immune deficiency, heart attacks and blood sugar issues of friends and family around her.
After countless emergency room visits, hospital stays, doctor visits, ASHI training and lots of research, she has developed a deep knowledge of how to recognize and deal with many life threatening conditions, such as pneumonia and heart attacks. Deanna has spent more than 12 years volunteering with local Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts as a leader and as First Aid merit badge counselor and instructor. Helping people is what she does best, just like a guardian angel. She is, now, teaching others to do the same; to be someone’s guardian angel.
