Spring is in the air, and it’s time to shake off the winter blues, connect IRL, and celebrate the power of community. We’ll be at Flowers for Dreams in the West Loop for a chance to touch some grass … well maybe not grass exactly, but we’ll be making bouquets!

Join us for an evening of flowers, food, and fun with folks from Women Unite!, Chicago United Solidarity Project, and Ujimaa Medics. You’ll have a chance to connect with leaders from each organization and learn more about how they’re keeping our neighbors housed, safe, and cared for.

We’ll have tacos and empanadas from Taylor's Tacos, vegan fried rice from Snackie Chan, and pasta from Top Left Catering, drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and, of course, a raffle!

Can’t make it? You can support our vision by making a donation or buying a ticket for a community member (select the ‘Community Member’ ticket option).

As with all of our events, we’re offering sliding-scale ticket options.

Sliding-Scale Tickets

Our goal is to make our events as accessible as possible. That’s why we offer sliding-scale options. When registering, please select the payment level that works for you. For guidance, we’ve provided the reference below based on work done by Alexis J. Cunningfolk and Britt Hawthorne.

Option 1: $65

I frequently stress about meeting basic needs* and don’t always achieve them
My debt sometimes keeps me from meeting my basic needs
I am unemployed or underemployed
I have limited or inconsistent access to savings
I have very limited expendable income**
I rarely buy new items

Option 2: $75

I may stress about meeting my basic needs* but still regularly achieve them
My debt doesn’t keep me from meeting my basic needs*
I am employed
I might have access to financial savings
I have some expendable income**
I am able to buy some new items and I thrift others

Option 3: $85

I am comfortably able to meet all of my basic* needs
My debt doesn’t keep me from meeting my basic needs*
I am employed or do not need to work to meet my needs
I have access to financial savings
I have an expendable** income
I can always buy new items

*Basic Needs include food, housing, health care, and transportation.

**Expendable Income might mean you are able to buy coffee or tea at a shop, go to the movies or a concert, buy new clothes, books, and similar items each month, etc.
