Peter Hunt, with Bobby Alu and Linden Lester, invite you into the warmth of the Drill Hall Theatre to journey with them in a vessel of music.
This special concert is in celebration of Peter Hunt’s album, Vessel.
This album is the first Peter Hunt has released under his own name, after several albums with the groove supergroup Kooii. It draws from his love for African music and jazz and is threaded with the sense of something Celtic too. It is the culmination of decades devoted to songcraft; the binding of words with voice in it’s expression of feeling, melody and dance.

With generosity and rhythmical vitality in the nature of his music, songman and percussionist Bobby Alu, shall weave the rhythm baskets of the songs, having recorded the percussion on the Vessel album.
Local musical treasure and one half of the group, the Imprints, Linden Lester will be on bass, bringing his foundational feel to the songs.
