Peter Hunt Trio - Concert at the Home on the Hill
Event description
On the evening of Saturday February 4th we welcome you to join us at the Home on the Hill for an opportunity to settle in with generous company and immerse in a journey inspiring connection to nature, your imagination and dance through the music of Peter Hunt and his trio.
With his songs, guitar and trumpet, Peter shall join with his long time collaborative partner and fellow Kooii member, Tom Hinchliffe playing bass weaving the music with the rhythmical wisdom of drummer Hugh Jones.
Within the miniatures of the universe that are music, the trio shall take the opportunity to breathe and delve into the harmony and wisdom of music so it may expand into our everyday being. They find belonging and inspiration in worlds of songs formed from an affinity with African music, folk of a Celtic nature and Jazz music, all the way encountering a sense of this country woven through the fabric of the sound.
Having released several albums with the group Kooii, Peter recently released an album of songs under his name entitled Vessel, which features his voice and lyricism held by distinctly colourful and hypnotic guitar pieces. When woven with the harmony of the voices and creativity of bassist Tom and drummer Hugh, the music expands its capacity to inspire reverence for life.
The evening shall be an opportunity to connect with community and to share in the collective journey of music. After the trio's offering there shall be a delicious meal provided followed by an open space for others to offer their creative expression.
