Peter Le and Friends

Peter Le is an emerging saxophonist from UC Berkeley. He has graduated with a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science and has returned to pursue a Master's degree in Data Science. During his university studies, he learned about and joined the jazz program at Cal and began to discover and study the genre under various Bay Area jazz giants including Frank Martin, Ted Moore, and Glenn Richman.

At this stage in his academic career, Peter really wants to showcase his work, as he owes a majority of development as a player to his time in university. This show at The Back Room is a project Peter is doing with five of his close friends. With collective influences from Wayne Shorter, Woody Shaw, Freddie Hubbard, and other giants, they hope to create a show that honors their legacies while acknowledging their interpretation of what they meant to share with the world.

Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door general admission; $15 for students with ID. Children under 12 are free. Advance tickets are available here, or if the show is not sold out, you may purchase your tickets at the door before the show.

Doors open 30 minutes before show time. We accept cash or Venmo only at the door.

The Back Room is an all-ages, BYOB (for those 21+) space, dedicated to (mostly) acoustic music of all kinds. You are welcome to bring your own food and beverages. The venue is ADA accessible. If you need more information or have any questions, please call us: #510-381-1997.
