    PFLAG: Gender Diversity Info Session

    Do you have a child or young person in your life who is Gender Diverse? 

    Join PFLAG Central Coast for an evening of learning, sharing and support for Parents and Carers of LGBTQIA+ people. Presenters from headspace and Maple Leaf House will share their knowledge and answer your questions.

    They will cover topics including:

    - What is gender diversity?

    - Supporting someone who is gender diverse or questioning their gender.

    - What is the process to getting gender affirming care?

    - What medical affirming care is available?

    - What services are available in our region and surrounds?

    Join us for an evening of learning and community. Feel empowered to support the gender diverse Young Person in your life to live a happy, fulfilling, authentic life.

    About PFLAG:
    PFLAG is the first and largest organisation in the world uniting parents, carers and families of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people.

    PFLAG network operates globally and our Central Coast chapter was established in March 2011. We are volunteer run with a common goal of keeping families together, happy and healthy and provide support and information to families, carers and friends of all same sex attracted and gender variant people.

    About headspace:
    headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation. They provide early intervention mental health services to 12-25-year-olds.  They support young people with mental health, physical health (including sexual health), alcohol and other drug services, as well as work and study support.

    About Maple Leaf House:
    Maple Leaf House has opened in Newcastle, it is a specialist, multidisciplinary services for trans and gender diverse children and young people aged up to 24 years.
