The Philadelphia Folksong Society’s Musical Artist Cooperative (PFS-MAC) is proud to present "Women in Song," a powerful, one-night-only musical celebration taking place on Thursday, June 25 at 7:00 PM at The Fallser Club, bringing together 14 unique female singer-songwriters for an extraordinary evening that spans generations, genres, and perspectives. From folk and acoustic roots to contemporary sounds, this showcase offers an intimate look into facets of the female spirit through the original compositions of the Philadelphia Folksong Society’s Musical Artist Cooperative members.

Terri has been singing since early childhood, having been born into a somewhat musical family in Philadelphia. She considers herself a vocalist primarily and a songwriter. Folk, vintage country, jazz standards, and rock, she has an appreciation for many genres of music and enjoys using her voice to fit the style. She has a background in teaching as well as other creative endeavors. She is a big supporter of using her music for benefits and is a volunteer with Musicians On Call and a hospice music companion through Compassus. She plays out in the region on her own and with her eclectic Americana trio, TC3, joined by Ruth Harper on vocals and guitar, and Elsa Haile on violin. Terri’s CD, OLD HOUSE, was released in early 2020. She has been heard on Folk stations across the globe and has a top 10 single covering Joni Mitchell’s “Magdalene Laundries” on the FAI chart November '22

Rachel Eve

Rachel Eve writes and sings from a place that is at once personal and universal, drawing from her own experiences and observations of the world around her; several of her songs are directly inspired by her work as a music therapist. Rachel's voice has been described as "soulful," "passionate," "songbird-like" and her diverse and lyrical songwriting infused with folk, jazz and blues. Her husband and multi-instrumentalist, Luke Marchie, is often seen and heard accompanying her and adding harmony to her melodious songs. Rachel released her first full-length album, Songs for the Morning in 2019 and has released several singles since then. She plans to release an EP in the spring of 2026.

Lisa Chosed

Philly native Lisa Chosed is an indie folk singer-songwriter. With a voice reminiscent of Nanci Griffith, her unique writing style contains hints of musical influences Kasey Chambers & Alanis Morissette. Inspired by her travel, photography, and life experiences, her songs are full of self-reflection, storytelling, and societal observations. Lisa also performs covers from a range of decades and genres. You can find her playing shows locally in Philadelphia and in surrounding venues around the tristate area. Lisa’s debut album "Fly" and sophomore album "Time" are available on all popular streaming platforms.

Rebecca Lang

PA-based singer-songwriter and violinist Rebecca Lang writes folk/Americana songs. Her songs are inspired by the beauty she sees in people, those often unseen and unheard. Lang has played numerous festivals, venues, and radio shows. She currently performs with Chris Kennedy (electric guitar, mandolin). Her song "When Every Woman is Seen" received an honorable mention for the Women's Freedom Song Contest 2026. Lang's movie placements include "Suns' Rays" (Canary Black October 2024 release). Her song, "Give Me Your Tired," based on the Emma Lazarus poem “The New Colossus,” was a 2019 finalist at the Renaissance Artists and Writers Association (RAWA).

Christine Winchester

Christine Winchester began playing original music as a teenager, after she taught herself to play guitar. She comes by her musicality honestly, with a father who played ragtime piano and a mom who still, in her 80’s, frequents her local Karaoke bar. Christine studied musical theater in college and brings that expressive, storytelling vocal style to her performances today. Since 2020 she has been self-producing her music. She enjoys serving as co-chair of the Philadelphia Area Songwriters Alliance, and has been a REALTOR for twenty years. She resides in Norristown with her partner in music and marriage, David C. Perry.

Kathy Quinn

Kathy Quinn is a Philadelphia-area songwriter, guitarist, and performer. She is a member of the Philadelphia Folksong Society and the Philadelphia Area Songwriters’ Alliance. In 2025, she released her debut album, Next 7 Miles, a stylistically diverse collection of original songs that tap many moods. She is influenced by traditional and contemporary folk, blues, and classic country. She is an engaging performer who brings her background in theater and improv comedy to her musical presentation. Bunny Barnes

Instrumental fingerstyle guitarist Bunny Barnes lets her guitar be her voice! She’s studied with celebrated guitarist Tommy Emmanuel. She placed 5th at the International Home of the Legends Thumbpicking Contest and has performed at the CAAS (Chet Atkins Appreciation Society) convention from 2021to present. Barnes opened for National Thumbpicking Award Winners Muriel Anderson, Richard Smith, Clive Carroll & Pierre Bensusan and has played at the Sellersville Theater, the 2022 Philadelphia Folk Festival & is performing at the 2026 Woodstock Fingerstyle Guitar Festival. Her first instrumental album, It Goes Like It Goes, was inducted into the National Thumbpickers' Hall of Fame as the 2022 "Album of the Year!"

Heidi Wolfson & Neal Phillips are familiar to fans of CubiZm, the renowned Philly folk/rock band and Folk Fest favorite. As a duo, Heidi & Neal’s acoustic arrangements allow Heidi’s lyrics and the duo’s subtle harmonies to shine. Heidi is known for the range of her songwriting and the intensity of her performances. Ann Ramsey

Ann Ramsey is a Delaware-based singer-songwriter in the Americana and Anglo-Celtic genres. With a history background, she often sets her story-songs in unusual times and places. She’s noted for her fingerstyle guitar work and atmospheric “raw folk” sound. Ann performs in the mid-Atlantic, including a solo set at the 2025 Philadelphia Folk Festival. Her debut LP, Gallowglass, released 10/1/25 and made the folk radio charts. Mindy Murray draws from her life experiences and oral histories to create edgy rootsy songs -- born out of a desire to have her music mean something, while telling the stories of hard working women and men. Tracy Colletto

A New Jersey native now settled near Philadelphia, Tracy Colletto sounds like a mix of Tori Amos and Joni Mitchell. She has a classical voice and musical theater background, and other influences include Jim Croce, Kate Bush and Shawn Colvin. Tracy likes to write about personal perseverance and memorable journeys, and her music has won honors from The Great American Song Contest, Independent Music Awards, John Lennon Songwriting Contest and more. She’s performed at many local venues and at others from the Southeast to New England. Her latest album is Chocolate Happy Cake and her new 12-song album Far Between is in production.

Liz Miller is a multi-genre, award-winning songwriter who has been compared to artists like Brandi Carlile, Melissa Etheridge, and Ashley McBride. She moves with ease between folk, rock, and singer-songwriter styles. In the Philadelphia area, Liz sells out shows both as a solo artist and the leader of an acoustic band. Julieann Ott

Philly-based singer-songwriter Julieann Ott writes rootsy pop “song-stories” that evoke introspective Americana superstars a la Patty Griffin, Aimee Mann and Sheryl Crow. With vivid imagery and unexpected melodic turns, Ott hooks her listeners and takes them on an emotional ride. Trained as a graphic artist, she dreamt of a life writing and performing music, but there were kids to raise, grandkids to embrace, and fears to overcome. Stronger than fear was the desire to create. The desire to empathize, share joy, make change for good, however small, and to continually ask “What’s it all about?” Ott is often accompanied by violinist and seasoned performer, Rob Lincoln. The East Falls Train Station is a short walk from the Fallser Club. Parking in East Falls is no problem! There is ample free on-street parking near the East Falls train station driveway at 3610 Midvale Ave and a paid municipal lot three blocks away at 4100 Ridge Ave. Midvale Ave and Ridge Ave are both well-lit!
