    Event description

Please note that this event is for Victorian residents only.

PHASE TWO - Transitioning to Independence is an online skills-based session for carers who have been undertaking a family-led refeeding (or FBT/Maudsley) approach for their child and need skills and support to manage the transition from Phase ONE (active refeeding) to Phase TWO (moving towards more independence for your child).

This transition can provoke feelings of high anxiety for carers/parents as we feel the pressure from the care team and our child, to start easing up on intense, supervised meal support and begin transitioning to a more hands-off support role.

Following the presentation, there will be space for shared learning amongst the group, supported by facilitators who also have lived experience caring for a loved one with an eating disorder.

Who is the session suitable for?

This course is suitable for families and carers who have been utilising a family-led refeeding (or FBT/Maudsley) approach for their child AND are starting to transition to Phase two of treatment.
