Philippines: "Back to Basics" Wellness Journey

This experience is centred around connecting with culture, understanding sustainability, and tapping into the expansion of your own edges. We will weave movement practices from Yoga and martial arts, breathwork, art, music, and meditation throughout this week long adventure. 

We will travel from Coron to El Nido aboard traditional Filipino boat, with the cheeky local crew navigating through the archipelago . You will get to know another perspective of travel that has positive impact in community, and informs deeper connection to nature, to self, and our like-minded group of leaders and travellers alike. Switch off from electronics and immerse in life on the islands like the old ways.

ITINERARY

Day 1 | Arrival Day Connection, Mandatory Expedition briefing

Today is arrival day, we will gather for the first time in the afternoon around 4pm. Here we will have our opening ceremony, share our first connection activity and get to know each other. Following this, we will attend the Expedition briefing together with Tao Philippines. Accommodation will be provided in line with the theme ‘Back to Basics,’ we will be in shared accommodation for this evening, however no meals are included to allow some time and flexibility to explore, and settle in to your surroundings. You may also want to collect any last minute supplies for our Wellness Expedition to El Nido. 

Day 2 - 5 | Wellness Expedition from Coron to El Nido

We will board and journey by traditional motor banka with the cheeky crew from Tao Philippines. The itinerary for this portion of the journey is not set, and is dependent on the weather and sea conditions. There are 18 permanent base camps set up amongst this remote group of islands in the Northern Palawan Archipelago. We will arrive at a different island each night, as we journey south towards El Nido. The beautiful team of facilitators will weave games, experiences, and workshops throughout the journey. As is life, we ebb and flow, and the schedule of events here will be fluid.  

Day 6-7 | Dipnay Permaculture Farm & Wellness Retreat 

Today we arrive at Dipnay Farm Stay, a permaculture farm where most of the food for the Wellness Expedition will come from, and where all waste from our expedition will return to when we check in. We will receive a tour around the farm and settle into our rooms, before joining a more scheduled portion of the itinerary filled with Filipino martial arts, Movement, Sound, Art and through games, workshops, and experiences. 

Day 8 | Departure Day + Paraw Sailing + Reflection & Integration 

Today we will check out in the morning, before board onto one of the last standing Paraw for a full day sailing adventure to round off our journey. We will spend time exploring, connecting, and reflecting on our experiences before moving on in our own onward journeys. We will return back to El Nido in the evening around 6pm where you will then be free to depart.
