Philip Dizack @ Astral Weeks

Phillip Dizack is an American jazz trumpeter known for his refined tone, lyrical phrasing, and deeply interactive approach to ensemble playing. A key figure in the contemporary New York jazz scene, he has performed internationally with artists including Shai Maestro, Eddie Palmieri, and Jon Batiste.

Dizack is a core member of the Shai Maestro Quartet and is featured on the ECM release Human, where his playing forms a central part of the group’s dynamic and textural sound. Across his work as both a bandleader and sideman, he is recognised for his clarity of sound, expressive control, and ability to shape music in real time through close musical dialogue.
