Photoshop - From Raw to Award & everything in between

This RAW to Award Photoshop Event will be a hands on, step by step session where you'll follow along with Ben and edit two control photos. The event will be split into two sessions with a 30min break for lunch (not provided).

In session one you'll be editing a close up portrait of a female subject where Ben will share with you portrait editing processes, including skin retouching, lighting, colour and tonal adjustments, cutting out subjects, adding backgrounds, blend modes, layers and Ai processes.
In session two you'll be editing an Environmental style portrait of a person or couple, where Ben will share editing processes such as, lighting, colour and tonal adjustments, cutting out subjects, adding skys, overlays and light rays, composite processes, blend modes, matching lighting and tones, and Ai processes.

Ben will share what he looks for in an image and the process he undertakes to edit every photograph to a fine art standard using Photoshop and you’ll learn how Ben takes a RAW file and turns it into an award winning image.
After the completion of the editing process we will go into a Q&A session for the remainder of the class.

You will need an intermediate working knowledge of photoshop and you’ll need to bring your own laptop loaded with the 2024 versions of Adobe Photoshop, along with either Adobe Bridge or Lightroom.

What you will learn:

• You’ll learn editing processes in Photoshop that will allow you to confidently create visually stunning and impactful photographs.
• You’ll learn how to identify distractions in a an image and learn techniques to draw more attention to the desired subject.
• You’ll learn about tools such as adjustment brushes, actions, blend modes and ground breaking Ai processes that will speed up your editing time.
• You’ll gain an understanding of adding overlays, skys and light rays in a completely natural way to enhance your photos and convey your creative vision.

What to bring:
You will need an intermediate working knowledge of photoshop and you’ll need to bring your OWN LAPTOP and charger loaded with the 2024 versions of Adobe Photoshop, along with either Adobe Bridge or Lightroom.

Please bring your own lunch or be ready to purchase from nearby shops.
