Piano Sound Bath: Love, remembered through Disney
Description
Sunday Piano Sound Bath - Disney Love
Join Joan and Paula for live piano and sound healing, just before the festive season takes over. The busiest time of year is the easiest time to forget ourselves. Come and slow down with us, as we play through a few different chapters of love through Disney music: romantic love, love for family and friends, and the love we sometimes forget to give ourselves.
There is no wrong way to be here. Sit, lie down, sway, dance or wander. You don't have to do anything, except BE present. Bring someone you love, or come on your own. As the piano plays, layers of voices, crystal bowls, drums and other instruments, rise and fall around you.
***Next January, Joan is joining Habitat for Humanity’s Global Village program to help build houses in rural Nepal. All profits from this event will go towards funding her volunteering. If you would like to further support her, you can add a donation to the order! Every dollar counts.***

Science behind sound healing
When we are experiencing stress, sickness, physical or emotional challenges, we can feel out of sync. Vibrations and frequencies will help tune the body back to balance.
Our human bodies are made up of roughly 60-70% water, and sound travels about four times faster through water than through air. The vibrations and frequencies from instruments don't just reach your ears, they move through your whole body much more effectively than you hear.
As the sound moves through your body, your brain will be shifted from the busy Beta state (active thinking) to calmer Alpha or Theta states (subconscious and deep rest). The body and mind synchronise with these frequencies to release tension and restore balances.
