Gumbaynggirr culture is an earth-based culture embedded with an ancient sophisticated and in-depth knowledge of the earth's biodiversity. The picabeen water basket is the original and oldest basket of Gumbaynggirr culture. This workshop will teach you how to use the native palm frond to mold, shape and use weaving technique to create a practical watertight basket. A fun, innovative and interesting workshop where you will be able to take your creation home! Note this workshop content has Intellectual and Cultural Property Copyright.
