Tackling Food Waste: Pickling & Fermenting Workshop
Event description
Curious about fermenting and pickling?
Graham Jefferies from low waste award winning restaurant Samesyn, and food technologist Shaakira Ariffin of Culinary Innovation Consulting and YGF Manufacturing will inspire you with practical tips on how to make your own pickled and fermented foods at home.
Be inspired and learn the basic science about how pickling and fermenting works. Preserving different foods is a great way to reduce waste, and extend the shelf life of different foods!
Participants will be treated to some small nibbles from Samesyn to give an example of how to incorporate preserved foods in your cooking.
