We're excited to announce our annual Autumn 'Picnic in the Gardens' event is here again! Where you can choose between five different mouth-watering picnic hampers options which can be enjoyed anywhere within our 10 acres of award-winning garden bound by Aprils' vibrant and bold autumn colours. 

Our 2023 newly designed picnic hampers will be available to pre-order via the ticket link below along with add-on option of a Historical Guided Garden Tour at $20 per person. Note: Garden Entry is free with any purchase of a hamper. Please show proof of hamper order at front gate for free entry then head to The Barn to collect.

DETAILS:

We have five Hamper options to choose from with selections of cheese, cured meats, antipasto, nuts, crackers, seasonal fruit & more, beautifully crafted by Tenterfield locals; The Mad Platter & Co. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options are available. Please let us know of any dietary requirements when making your booking (selections available at checkout).

Picnic boxes are for 2 people.

For larger groups feel free to mix and match the boxes. **For 4 people purchase 2 boxes and for 6 people purchase 3 boxes.

BYO picnic blanket/cushions/chairs and pack a jumper just in case.

Option one: Antipasto Picnic box for two $60 (inc. garden admission)

Marinated baby artichoke, Mediterranean mix, herb dip, salami, honeyed Kabana, assortment of Crackers, sour cream and chive cream cheese, yellow mature cheese, camembert, homemade herb rolls, pastrami-cream cheese and alfalfa wrap, 2x fresh Danish, homemade white chocolate rocky road, chocolate coated strawberries, grapes, and dried fruit

Option two: The Ploughman's picnic box for two $80 (inc. garden admission)

Mini herb rolls, fresh bread, leg ham, lemon pepper chicken, devilled eggs, house made pate, 3x cheeses, fetta stuffed capsicum, rosemary and sea salt roasted walnuts, spiced pear, easter brownie, French cheesecake, strawberries, grapes, and dried fruit

Option three: Vegetarian box for two - $80 (inc. garden admission)

French stick, basil pesto, vegan cheese, crudities, carrot, celery, cucumber, lentil chips, hummus, roasted hearbed capsicum dip, stuffed mushrooms w/ tofu and caramelized onions, rice paper rolls filled with Inoki, Asian veges w/ dipping sauce, mediterranean vegetables w/ coriander noodle salad served in half of a capsicum, dessert consisting of vegan choc fudge cakes topped with choc strawberries, crapes and fresh dragon fruit.

Option four: Gourmet picnic platter for two people $99 (inc. garden admission)

Marinated baby artichoke, mediterranean mix, herbed dip, mild/hot pork sopressa, pancetta, camembert, edam cheese, red Leicester, stuffed baby capsicum, assorted crackers, croissants with smoked salmon, cream cheese and capers, bruschetta, olive tapenade, basil pesto, fresh tomato salsa, mediterranean eggplant, fresh baguette slices, smoked chicken, homemade pecan pie, chocolate coated strawberries, grapes and dries fruit, rosemary and sea salt roasted walnuts

Option five: Seafood Easter Box for two $135 (inc. garden admission and historical guided tour for two)

Half shell oysters w/ Thai drizzle sauce, Balmain bugs cooked in lemon pepper butter, Australian king prawns on skewers, smoked salmon sushi w/ cream cheese and chives, scallops in burnt butter and sage, delicious chicken wings stuffed w/ Asian style ginger pork, Vol au vaunts w/ caramelised onions, goat cheese and thyme, sundried tomato-fetta and spinach petite quiches, fresh sliced French sticks, cherry tomatoes, stem on caper berries, cheese filled capsicum, rockmelon wrapped w/ prosciutto and white chocolate and macadamia cheesecake w/ fresh grapes and chocolate covered Strawberries

HISTORICAL GUIDED GARDEN TOURS:

This is a unique opportunity for you to experience a personalised guided walking tour of one of Australia’s finest country gardens along with other guests. For the Tour to be undertaken, a minimum number of 10 people will be required. Therefore, we cannot guarantee your booking until the minimum number of visitors has been reached. Refunds will be available if numbers are not reached.

The cost for Historical Garden Tour is $20 per person. This includes:

1. Access to Glenrock Gardens
2. A personalised guided walking tour throughout the gardens with one of the owners which lasts approximately 1.5 - 2 hours, your entire visit will likely last approximately 3-4 hours with hamper.
3. A golf buggy, which can access most areas of the garden, is available for those less mobile in the group. This would have to be arranged and completed separately from the walking tour.
4. A nursery filled with hard-to-find, old-fashioned, perennials and shrubs (you can see the plants insitu in the gardens as well). Leave ample time to wander through the nursery where you can purchase your plants of choice.
