Pinch Pot Workshop @ Harmony
Event description
Join Ceramicist Peter Dallas for this three hour mindful Pinch Pot Workshop.
Mindful pinch pot Workshop: A Quiet Practice in ClayJoin us for a peaceful and reflective 3-hour workshop dedicated to pinched pottery.
Together, we will slow down and work with intention, using hands and breath to respond to the clay.
Through gentle guidance, you will use traditional pinch techniques - refining forms, understanding the natural qualities of clay and exploring how subtle movements create durable objects.
This is a practice, asks for patience and focus, in return offering a deeper sense of connection to your materials.
Peter will guide you through the steps with small demonstrations, provide individual support, with plenty of time to develop your own rhythm with the clay.
This workshop is suited for beginners seeking an introduction to pottery as well as experienced makers wishing to reconnect with the fundamentals of hand-building.
All tools and materials are provided.
No prior experience needed - only a willingness to slow down, listen to your hands and enjoy the rejuvenating act of making.
