Meet your Host
Pinny Links is hosted by local folk-pop artist Tig. Inspired by her own discomfort with traditional networking formats, Tig conceived Pinny Links after experiencing the “hot seat” model at 2024’s MP Music Summit. Realising she thrives in quieter, one-on-one environments was a game changer and led Tig to explore new ways to foster connection and build networks.
Tig has a knack for creating not just events, but experiences. As both a project manager in corporate and NFP sectors, and an indie musician, Tig’s frequently sold events are fast becoming her trademark. Whether it be her hand crafted momentos, intentional timings, or interactive elements, Tig has a way of ensuring her attendees walk in feeling curious, and walk away feeling wondrous.
What to expect
At Pinny Links you’ll get the chance to connect in a quiet environment over casual drinks with 2 other musicians or music industry workers. You’ll be seated at random on a table of three and given a whole hour to chat about why you create, what you’re working on, where you’re stuck or what you’re wondering. You’ll have ample time to get to know your table and share ideas, with no moving spots, no stories cut short, and no need to bring your elevator pitch.
We hope this method of conversation will bring you new collaborators, shared learnings and long lasting connections.
There will be a short performance at the end of the hour for anyone wishing to stay on.
