Description
Piping Live! is back for 2026 from Sunday 9th - Friday 14th August with a range of ticketed and free events. Here you can buy tickets for all ticketed events at Piping Live this year. There are two pages of tickets - Page one features Festival Site plus events you do not need a Festival Site ticket for. Page 2 has events that are within the Festival Site that you need an additional ticket for.

On page one you will find:
The R.G. Hardie & Co Masters Solo Piping Competition will take place on Sunday 9th August : Piobaireachd section and March, Strathspey & Reel Section : £10 standard / £9 concession (Over 65 + U16 + Disabled.) Free for Carers. You do not need a Festival Site ticket for the Masters.
From Monday 10th - Friday 14th August our Festival Site will return, serving up a fantastic mix of music from solo piping to trad groups, international artists playing indigenous bagpipes from across the world and headline artists to round off each day. There will be family friendly events, book launches, talks and more from morning - evening!
Ticket options for Festival Site are:
Festival Site Day ticket: £10 Standard / £9 Concession (Over 65 + Disabled) / FREE U16s + Carer Concession. Once you add a qualifying ticket to your basket, click continue and you will be able to add the free tickets to your basket.
Festival Site Week ticket: £40 Standard / £36 Concession (Over 65 + Disabled) / FREE U16s + Carer Concession. This ticket gives you access to all the events on the Centre Stage, the Bothy tent, Museum Tours, Come & Try sessions and other free events in the National Piping Centre across the week. You will need extra tickets for ticketed events in the NPC and evening concerts.
Festival Site Week + Events ticket: £149 Standard / £134 Concession (Over 65, U16s + Disabled) / Free Carer Concession. This tickets gives you access to all events at the NPC during the week, including Centre Stage, the Bothy, as well as ticketed events in the auditorium. It DOES NOT include the R.G Hardie & Co Masters Solo Piping Competition this year or separate Evening Concerts.
Evening Concerts
There are a range of fantastic evening concerts that are out with your Festival Site ticket. All tickets for these are £22.50 std / £20 conc (Over65s & U16s and Disabled) / Free carer concession unless stated. These events are:

Ewen Henderson & Gary Innes
Tuesday 11th August Centre Stage Headliner - Ewen Henderson & Gary Innes! Included in your Tuesday Festival Site ticket or Festival Site Week ticket. Gary Innes is a Highland-born accordionist, composer, broadcaster and event creator who has been at the forefront of Scottish traditional music for over 20 years. Raised in Spean Bridge, Lochaber, his career has seen him perform across the globe, record acclaimed solo and collaborative albums, and shape the future of traditional music both on stage and behind the scenes. Ewen Henderson hails from Lochaber in the West Highlands of Scotland and has been steeped in the traditional music and Gaelic culture of the area from a young age. Though most commonly found performing with Mànran (the band he co-founded in 2010), Ewen has also performed all over the world with a host of top Scottish and global cross-genre artists including the world-renowned Battlefield Band. Together through their musical partnership they continues to create and perform music rooted in shared Highland heritage.

Wednesday 12th August Centre Stage Headliner - FRAS! Included in your Wednesday Festival Site ticket or Festival Site Week ticket. FRAS have stormed their way through the West coast of Scotland and beyond with their iconic pipe heavy sound. A thundering five piece from na Garbh Chrìochan of box, flute, pipes, guitar and drums. FRAS blend old melodies and original tunes to create a crashing wave of highland music. Tearing up dancefloors in their wake and leaving audiences captivated. Their debut album, Dìle, was a forecast of what was to come. Flinne, their latest, showcases entirely original compositions, offering shelter from the elements whilst embracing their signature storming West Highland sound. Calum Stewart, Sophie Stephenson & Luc McNally
Thursday 13th August Centre Stage Headliner - Calum Stewart, Sophie Stephenson & Luc McNally! Included in your Thursday Festival Site ticket or Festival Site Week ticket. Award winning Uilleann piper and flautist Calum Stewart, has a powerful and lyrical playing style, which is rooted in the traditional music of his native Northern Scotland, and collaborations within the Scottish and Irish traditions . Joined by Luc McNally (bouzouki), a formidable force in the Scottish traditional music scene, and percussive Scottish step dancer, Sophie Stephenson, whose percussive steps underpin the rhythms of the traditional dance tunes, the result is a vibrant and dynamic trio. The trio will be playing music from Calum’s most recent albums ‘True North’ (2023) and ‘Tales from the North’ (2017) to bring together traditional melodies and lyrical compositions, inspired by the landscape and heritage of Calum’s native North of Scotland.

Friday 14th August Centre Stage Headliner - DAIMH! Included in your Thursday Festival Site ticket or Festival Site Week ticket. Forging the sound of the New Tradition, Dàimh are West Highland Music’s proudest exponents.Dàimh, the Gaelic word for Connection, perfectly describes the electrifying musical interplay between the individual band members and portrays the interaction with audiences attending their breath-taking live shows around the world.It also translates as the connection to the deep musical well from which they draw their inspiration. On the Scottish music scene the name Dàimh has come to represent a sound of a time and place a musical integrity that many strive to emulate.Formed over 20 years ago the band have embodied the current wave of resurgence in Gaelic culture; the current line up includes younger musicians that have progressed through the thriving Fèisean movement and Gaelic medium education system and joined the 3 remaining founding members to continue the cycle of the tradition.Recent achievements include receiving the MG ALBA Folk Band of the Year Award in 2015 and 2018 and passing the halfway mark on their career ambition of performing on every populated Scottish Island
