Launchpad’s EVENT OF THE YEAR is imminent!

Inspired and invigorated by the world-changing ideas from our students, we’re pleased to announce the theme of PITCHFEST 2022 is ‘Purpose’.

About the event:

PITCHFEST 2022 is the final chapter of Launchpad Academy, an incubator for young, emerging entrepreneurs to develop and refine their start-up ideas with resources and mentorship from the local start-up community itself. For the event, the 10 finalists, carefully selected from the Academy cohorts, will present their pitch in the quest of 10,000 AUD and priceless exposure to the industry.

Of course, besides the pitches, we also have the festivities. Staying true to the theme and our values, we align sustainability and social-awareness into every single aspect of our event and promise you: 

Sensational panel discussion

Ready to be charmed by the wits and wisdoms of our speakers? We’ve assembled a panel of social entrepreneurs to explore the vision and impact behind their esteemed enterprises. Facing existential threats from climate change to public health, we’re moving away the Silicon Valley-esque, profit-driven startup model to embrace purpose-driven projects with a grand mission of providing systematic change.

Thought-provoking exhibition

To spark conversation about purpose, passion, and living your truth, we’re turning our finalists into literal artworks. Curious? We won’t spoil the fun so easily, though. Watch out cause we’re about to take over social media by storm 🌩💪

Socially-conscious catering

While our programs satisfy the hungry minds, our choice of catering will please the hungry stomachs too: We partnered up with Gather Foods, a majority Aboriginal-owned and led business, to celebrate Indigenous cuisine. Besides the delicious native taste, Gather Foods also wins our heart thanks to their integrity and commitment to better First Nations community through employment opportunities.

Purposeful venue space

Located at the buzzing heart of Perth CBD, ‘The Platform’ is a hub for WA-based change-makers as it’s exclusively dedicated to non-profit and social enterprises. With gorgeous lighting system and generous space, where else can we conclude the final chapter of Launchpad Academy 2022?
