Pitching to Investors

Please note: this event is run by the Small Business Development Corporation for small business owners in Western Australia only.

Effectively communicating your business's value is a critical skill for any small business owner, particularly when speaking with customers, partners or investors. This will be a two part practical workshop, focusing on strategies for engaging your audience and tailoring your message using a simplified pitch structure. In part two of the workshop, you will focus on what investors are looking for and how to tailor your pitch to your audience.

This topic covers:

• Tailor your key messages from the audience's perspective 
• Develop strategies for engaging your audience through simple pitch structures
• Succinctly communicate your business's value proposition
• Understand what investors are looking for and how to address their needs
• Learn to tailor a pitch for investors

This workshop is for small business owners who want to confidently pitch their business or ideas to different audiences including investors.

The facilitator of this topic, Innovation Cluster is a leading provider of business incubator programs, investment groups, strategy sessions and hackathons, having successfully designed, facilitated and coordinated these for clients nationwide. They are dedicated to driving collaboration and innovation, having supported more than 200 startups through their programs during the past five years.

This workshop will be presented by Dr Natasha Teakle.

Bookings are limited to two tickets each, however you can make more than one booking. If you are booking for more than one person, please provide each person's email address so they receive our emails with important links and downloads.

If you cannot attend, please cancel so your place can be made available to another business owner. You can cancel your booking from the update order button on your order confirmation email. Cancellations and refunds for paid workshops can be made up to 24 hours before the workshop starts.
