Pivot: Arts admin for sustainable careers
Event description
Pivot: Arts admin for sustainable careers is a new program presented by Propel Youth Arts WA that aims to build capacity among young and emerging artists and arts workers in Western Australia to make their careers sustainable and commercially viable.
We have noticed that young people in the arts are often intimidated by work that falls outside of their creative practice such as networking, admin, money and sustainability. It is not easy to be a young person or creative today but we want to provide an easier pathway for young people who want to have sustainable careers in the arts.
Pivot will take place on Saturday and Sunday 2 - 3 October 2021 at Art Gallery of WA and State Library of WA offering a range of in-person and online workshops, panel discussions, forums and the opportunity to network with your local arts community and leaders at a casual sundowner.
