Pivot Conference 2021-22
Event description
Shape the Future - Tāraitia te āpōpō
The landscape of volunteering is changing, in some cases exacerbating the changes we were already seeing, in others creating another shift entirely. Change presents different challenges across the sector, but also highlights unique opportunities for reshaping and improving the practice of volunteering.
The theme of PIVOT 2021 is Shape the Future, Tāraitia te āpōpō. Together we will envisage and define our future of volunteering, te wā heke me te mahi tūao.
PIVOT is the annual conference for volunteer leaders in New Zealand, where you will connect with peers, share and learn together. You will be inspired by a range of practitioners and thought leaders, and leave with renewed optimism for the future of volunteering.
There are two key events:
- Sunday 13 March 2022: Celebratory Dinner and Networking Event
- Monday 14 March 2022: PIVOT Conference
Why attend?
Be inspired and challenged to think about diversity and inclusion in volunteering. Learn skills for improving your wellbeing and extend your networks. Share your views as we question what we want the future of volunteering to look like. Take action towards shaping a national volunteering strategy.
Keynote speakers and panel discussions will focus on wellbeing, leadership and inclusion, the three key strands that have surfaced as being important to the sector. You will learn about the latest research on the community and voluntary sector and innovative practices in organisations.
