This event has passed Register

Event description

So you’ve worked in marketing and communications and don’t think you have the skills to join a startup? You’re wrong – startups who are scaling to meet growing demand need team members with a variety of skills, not just programming.

In this virtual workshop you will learn how to map your skills (marketing, project management, people & culture and finance to name just a few) and knowledge to meet the expectations of a startup business.

Your facilitator: Christina Canters

What you will learn?

-        What skills are valued in a startup business

-        How to communicate EQ and creativity in a professional context

-        The importance of psychometric testing

-        How to identify your fit and suitability when applying for a new role.

-        How to identify new vocational opportunities

What you will need to bring:

  • An open mind to think laterally about future opportunities
  • A one-page document outlining your skills and knowledge, your aspirations and your values.
