🍕 Pizza & Paddle: Sunset Kayak Tour

Join the NUmates team for an unforgettable evening of kayaking, adventure, and pizza! 🌅 We’ll be heading out to Lake Macquarie for a Sunset Kayak Tour, where we’ll paddle into the golden hour, enjoying the serenity of the water and indulging in a delicious pizza feast. 🍕✨

We’ll travel from Callaghan to Naru Beach for a 2-hour adventure. Glide through Swan Bay’s calm waters in your illuminated kayak as the sun sets, then paddle to a secluded sand island for the perfect sunset view and pizza party!

📍 Meet Point: The House, University of Newcastle, Callaghan Campus
💰 Price: $40 per person

Group 1 (12 pax) or Group 2 (12 pax) tickets available.

🕔Itinerary

Group 1 – Sunset Kayak Tour

• 5:00pm - 5:45pm Bus departs from Callaghan Campus from The House and travel to Lake Macquarie Naru Beach.

• 5:45 pm – 7:45 pm: Guided sunset paddle experience - witness an epic Aussie sunset over Lake Mac

• 7:15 pm – 7:45 pm: Beach pizza picnic (shared with Group 2),

• 7:50pm - 8.30pm: Bus departs from Naru beach for return transfer to Callaghan Campus

Group 2 – Sunset Kayak Tour

• 6:30pm - 7:15pm: Bus departs from Callaghan Campus from The House and travel to Lake Macquarie Naru Beach.

• 7:15 pm – 7:45 pm: Beach pizza picnic at the start of the tour (shared with Group 1)

• 7:45 pm – 9:15 pm: Guided nighttime paddle experience - watch the SeaLife come alive under your illuminated kayak

• 9:15pm - 9:45pm: Bus departs from Naru beach for return transfer to Callaghan Campus

What to Bring:

• Clothing: Expect to get a bit wet, so we recommend quick dry clothing or bring a spray jacket. Towel, hat and sunglasses are also essential.

• Footwear: Dive booties, Crocs, or old sneakers (make sure they’re okay to get wet!).

• Other Essentials: A water bottle, a camera, and a sense of adventure!

This experience is perfect for those who love being active, exploring new places, and enjoying good company (and pizza 🍕). Spots are limited, so be sure to book soon before they’re gone! And please note there are two group sessions for this event, if you aim to attend with friends, make sure you book into the same session!
