Between the Mountain and the Sky

After graduating high school, Maggie embarks on a gap year to Nepal, where she meets Tope, a resilient Nepalese orphan devoted to caring for other orphaned children. United in purpose, Maggie and Tope join forces to establish a children’s home, a women’s empowerment program, and a school for orphaned youth in Nepal. Over time, Maggie becomes the guardian of more than 50 Nepalese children and is recognized as CNN’s Hero of the Year.
