Event description

PK Presents: A Trauma-Informed Approach to Playtime

This class empowers participants in the BDSM community to approach playtime with a trauma-informed mindset, ensuring safety, consent, and emotional well-being for all involved. Taught by Christina Song, a therapist specializing in trauma, kink, and nontraditional relationships, the class covers essential topics such as understanding trauma’s impact on play, recognizing triggers, and building effective communication and consent practices.

Participants will learn how to create safe spaces for scenes, navigate emotional responses, and provide personalized aftercare through a trauma-sensitive lens. The session is interactive, incorporating practical tools, role-playing scenarios, and actionable takeaways to foster healthier, more empathetic dynamics.

Whether you're experienced or new to BDSM, this class equips you with the skills to enhance trust, respect, and understanding in your play. Bring an open mind, and leave with tools to create affirming, transformative experiences that honor boundaries and promote healing.
