[Cancelled] Plan, Study, Achieve - Workshop for students in Years 10, 11 & 12 to set goals, manage stress and succeed
Event description
This is an interactive workshop where participants will receive a wealth of knowledge and take home a plan to assist them in finding direction and focus for the year/s ahead. The workshop is facilitated by Sheridan Sugden BSocSc (Psych) specializing in Career Development, CBT, NLP, EI, Positive Education, Positive Parenting and Positive Discipline. Current Blue Card holder. The workshop will be conducted in a relaxed and friendly manner where each participant is valued and respected. This workshop is designed to assist all students in Senior Secondary School to achieve their best and positively engage with their education and manage their wellbeing.
This course covers the following topics:
Who am I? Discover your personality type to assist in making career choices. Design your future according to your values.
Anxiety and Stress Management: Understand what is triggering your anxiety/stress, why your body responds as it does, and learn skills to assist you in managing anxiety and stress.
Engagement and Responsibility: Learn how to make the most of classes or tasks you don’t enjoy, but need to undertake.
Planning and organisation: Plan your goals, I will assist you in understanding which subjects/courses you will need to take to reach your career goals (even if they change). Learn organisation skills to keep you on track to create a balanced life.
Study skills: Learn how to beat procrastination and improve your grades.
When: Tuesday 19th January
Times: Morning Workshop – 9am to 12.30pm
Afternoon Workshop – 1pm to 4.30pm
Both sessions cover the same topics.
Places available: Each session is limited to 25 participants. A Covid plan is in place and social distancing must be adhered to.
Where: Noosa Leisure Centre - 9 Wallace Drive, Noosaville Queensland 4566
Cost: $100 per person. Price includes workbook containing information, resources and planning documents, 1 year access to client resources (includes Resume Templates, E- Portfolio, Cover letter Templates, SET Plan and more), morning or afternoon tea provided.
Participants should bring a laptop or smart phone.
