Planetarium - Sept/Oct School Holiday Program

Our school holiday sessions will take you on a captivating journey across the Universe. Join one of our highly experienced astronomers as they guide you through constellations, the Solar System and beyond. Marvel at the immense scale of the universe and observe the breathtaking beauty of the night skies projected on the domed ceiling.

You can choose from

60min Planetarium experience with a full-dome movie - ages 4+ - please note age requirement for each session

90min A Journey through our Solar System - age requirement 8+

90min A Journey through the Milky Way - age requirement 10+

4hr Space School - Solar System - age requirement 7-10

4hr Space School - Astronaut - age requirement 9+

*Beanbag option: Two beanbags are available per session and are best suited to children under 8 years of age. An adult or caregiver accompanying the child will have a standard seat reserved next to the beanbag.

**Children under 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult.

BEFORE BOOKING, PLEASE READ IMPORTANT BOOKING CONDITIONS BELOW

• Arrival: Please arrive 10–15 minutes before your session. Late entry and re-entry are not permitted.

• Tickets: The Planetarium is suitable for children aged 4 years and over. Children aged 3 and under may attend daytime sessions only at no cost when seated on a carer's lap. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult.

• Daytime sessions: If attending with a younger child, please sit near the exit. If your child becomes unsettled, we ask that you leave the Planetarium to minimise disruption to other patrons.

• Evening sessions: Please check the minimum age requirement for your chosen session before booking.

• Accessibility: If you or a member of your party requires wheelchair-accessible seating or holds a Companion Card, please contact the Planetarium before booking so we can reserve appropriate seating.

• Inside the Planetarium: Food and drink, use of mobile phones, electronic devices, photography, or prams are not permitted.

  

• PARKING – if you are parking in the P6 car park or along University Boulevard, please ensure you pay for your parking upon arrival. Casual parking is via the PayStay parking meter located outside the Planetarium building. Fees are $0.20 per hour, capped at $2.00 per day. Payment is via credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. You will be required to hold your phone near the meter or scan the QR code (there is no cash option).
