In ancient times, the Babylonians who were skilled astronomers, observed seven celestial bodies that moved differently from the fixed stars.

Sun
Moon
Mars
Mercury
Jupiter
Venus
Saturn

They associated each day with one of these bodies in a repeating cycle. Greek astrologers later formalised this system, incorporating their own gods and mythology into the planetary associations.

What this means for us?

Every day has a unique energetic signature. For example, Monday is the day ruled by the moon. The qualities of the moon are soft, emotional and intuitive. Monday’s is a great day for more restful practices, slower mornings and early nights. Even though things have changed dramatically in recent times, this goes against the ‘it’s Monday, get after it!’ ethos. I’ve always naturally taken Mondays off, or at least to go slower. Working with the days of the week in this way has allowed me to feel more flow and ease in my business, home life and personal life.

In this workshop we will explore the energetic signature of each day of the week. There will be practices to support each planet, as well as group work and journalling to build your ideal sacred schedule.
