Planning and Dealing with Trust and Estate Chattels : Working your way through the process as a Professional Advisor
Philippa Smith Lambert will host a conversation with Andrew Grigg, Director of Cordy’s Fine Art & Antique Auctioneers & Appraisers on dealing with Antiques and Fine Arts, Estates, Collectibles and special items. This will be an interactive exploration of some of the practical challenges advisors face when planning for inter-generational changes and the flow-on decisions that are required in terms of managing the distribution and/or disposal of trust and family chattels.
Andrew has extensive knowledge of the industry and regularly provides guidance and advice to professionals dealing with trust, estate and family chattels. He has been of invaluable assistance to a number of ETPC members during these processes. Andrew’s parents owned Gordon's Antiques in Hamilton and after university, he joined Dunbar Sloane becoming the owner of Cordy’s in 2005. Having been established in 1964, Cordy's is New Zealand’s longest standing auction house, specialising in the sale of Jewellery, Decorative & Fine Art Auctions together with Māori & Tribal Artefacts & Estate auctions. Personally, Andrew is an avid collector and acknowledged expert of New Zealand studio pottery and art.
