Planning and Tracking Your CPD – “It’s all about me”
Description
Session description
CPD can feel like another administrative task, with points to collect, evidence to keep and reflections to record alongside a busy workload. Yet professional learning often happens through everyday practice as well as formal training.
This session looks at ways to make CPD planning and recording more manageable and meaningful. We will examine NRCPD and RBSLI requirements, consider the range of activities that may contribute to CPD, and explore how learning from work, reading, mentoring, supervision and discussion can be recognised and recorded.
Through examples and practical activities, participants will consider how to identify priorities, build a realistic CPD plan, maintain records throughout the year and use reflection and learning cycles to connect individual activities to longer-term development.
Who is this session for?
Qualified and trainee sign language interpreters and translators who want a more organised and useful approach to CPD.
